Conference on Economic Security and Supply of Raw Materials

Geplaatst 19 dec. 2014 02:45 door Sven Heins
On Friday 30 January 2015 the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers, VNO-NCW, will organize in cooperation with The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies and Raw Materials Supply Platform a conference on ‘Economic Security and Supply of Raw Materials’.

The central question that will be discussed during the conference is how Europe can increase the security of resource supplies for the European market. In light of expected growth of economies beyond Europe’s borders, increasing protectionism, resource nationalism and recent geopolitical tensions, this is a relevant and urgent question that needs to be addressed. Europe is proponent of a global, open and transparent economy. Recent developments point however in a different direction. How can Europe best respond?

During this conference speakers from businesses, government agencies and knowledge institutes will present their views on a European agenda for the security of resource supplies. With the results, Dutch business community aims to give security of resource supplies a more prominent place on the European agenda.

The program of the conference is divided into four time slots. In every time slot there will be ample opportunity to discuss the different presentations and to network. The final program of the conference will be sent to you two weeks in advance at the latest.
We look forward to welcoming you at the conference on Economic Security and Raw Materials Supply. Please register as early as possible, as the number of participants is limited.
